I see two issues with the statistics in this article, and both are related to the used of mcubed.net as a source. First, the regular season series record includes post-season games. The post-season games should be deducted from the total (13 win for Reds, 8 win for Pirates) since post-season is listed separately. I would normally do this myself, except for the second issue. The history section notes that each team was founded in 1881, yet the the first game is listed as April 23, 1900. As far as I can tell, mcubed.net simply doesn't include pre-1900 games, but these games can be found at baseball-reference.com. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 21:37, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the source from mcubed.net to baseball-reference.com in order to include games from 1891-1899. An argument could be made to go further back to 1882, when the Pirates were known by a different name. --Spiffy sperry (talk) 17:06, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
