Nobody knows where was the first Piotrków stronghold (and whether it really was). Maybe the first castle was from wood, because archaeological research has not confirmed the existence of the castle in Piotrków at Casimir the Great's time (and earlier period). The written sources are also unclear - perhaps it was not a castle, but the town fortification. Unfortunately, my English is not good and I do not want to fix myself.
