Protagonist's name
[edit]I changed the credit from Patricia "Pinky" Johnson to Pinky "Patricia" Johnson to reflect her name in the film (Pinky) and the name (Patricia) she used when she was passing as white. This is demonstrated several places within the film. Miss Em asks Pinky what she called herself "up yonder" and she replied "Patricia". Dr Canady asks her if she is "Miss Pinky Johnson", he would have no use for using a nickname when he hasn't met her and is meeting her as a professional nurse. Tom calls her Pat and she corrects him that her name is Pinky. The notice of the trial lists "Jeffers and Melby Wooly versus Pinky Johnson, colored" and she is refered to in court as "the defendent, Pinky Johnson, colored".AbramTerger (talk) 22:24, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
Critical Reception
[edit]Was Gelling a Jew? It IS relevant, because the NAACP was founded by a group of NYC Jews, and 2 of the civil rights workers who were killed in the 1960's were Jews. Starhistory22 (talk) 17:56, 7 March 2015 (UTC)
