KylieTastic, I've published the draft to Mainspace. It's a very short stub, but about a clearly notable subject, is cited to multiple independent reliable sources that cover the subject in-depth, and would most certainly survived AfD if nominated. Thus I think it should have been accepted, per WP:AFCPURPOSE. --Paul_012 (talk) 19:31, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Paul 012, WP:AFCPURPOSE is nice in theory and I wish it worked like that but I have seen many reviewers admonished for accepting an article that was then deleted. In one case (this) a reviewer (now blocked) was removed for what I worked out as ~1.4% fail rate. At least you took actions on your opinion - the number of times people state "clearly notable"/"clearly not notable" then do nothing. As for multiple independent reliable sources the general rule is at least WP:3SOURCES especially when both are from the same source "The New York Times". We hope that submitters will improve articles, in this case another sentence and another good source is all that was probably required. You did address the shortness, even if only slightly from 1 to 2 sentences and added an important fact that her restaurant is "Michelin-starred".
