Would attempt to try cleaning the infobox(es), but first it'd help to know what the problem is... GassyGuy 00:15, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This page requires the inclusion of a black female singer who did a rendidtion of "piece of my heart" in the late sixties, I remember hearing it on the radio. It use to be on youtube, but since then her version got burried from all those star search version rejects. She had a very soft voice similarly to Beverley Knight, but it can't be her because she was born in the 70's and wasn't old enough. It bugs me that i can't find her version. I always look towards Wiki to find the answers, but i'ts not there either. If I could remember her name it would be easy, but I can only remember by sound of the song, and its not Erma, Janice or the blonde lady. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.103.33.235 (talk) 00:18, 22 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Faith Hill Piece2.jpg

[edit]

Image:Faith Hill Piece2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Piece of My HeartPiece of My Heart (Erma Franklin song) – I originally performed this move myself but it was reverted, so I would like to see what other editors think. I moved it to the new name in the first place because, well, although it initially was the only song under this title with an article, now Piece of My Heart (Tara Kemp song) also exists (I'm not sure either article qualifies as a primary topic). Erpert blah, blah, blah... 00:17, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose This song is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC of the base title and does not needed to be disambiguated. Aspects (talk) 05:26, 13 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Preposterously uninformed proposal. One of the defining songs of 1960's music, a signature piece for Janis Joplin, Not since the brain-dead (and unanimously rejected) proposal to delete the Rolling Stones' classic "Dead Flowers" and replace it with a Miranda Lambert ditty have I seen so little understanding of musical history. Right now there are nearly five hundred incoming links to this page, orders of magnitude more than the articles for Tara Kemp, her sole album, and all her singles combined, making it unmistakeble which topic is primary. The Tara Kemp song article has 40 words of text and should probably redirected to the album article. And in the unlikely event that there's a consensus to move this article, it should DAB-d as a Jerry Ragovoy-Bert Berns song. Brooklyn Bridge rendition missing Lelio73 (talk) 13:46, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed the 1968 rendition of the song by The Brooklyn Bridge is not mentioned

Do you have a source for that version? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:49, 16 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Au Pairs version

[edit]

UK punk band the Au Pairs used to perform this song live regularly in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

They didn't record a studio version, but a live recording is included on the LP 'live in Berlin' and on the anthology LP Stepping Out of Line. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stepping_Out_of_Line:_The_Anthology

YouTube music has the track: https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=JVIEVetjTsw

This fanzine piece from 1982 refers to the live performance : > "Beyond this, Lesley’s got a remarkably powerful voice — she’s one of a few who can get away with covering ‘Piece Of My Heart’, a voice that has the caustic edge of a Rotten one minute, a thorough sensual purr that makes the hairs on my neck stand up the next."

This review from 'Record Mirror' dated April 1980 mentions Piece of my Heart as part of the set.
