Notable?
[edit]Is this notable? Is he known for anything other than the "Fucked Company" website and starting a small internet-ad company? Should the page be merged into the one on Fucked Company?
Animal Porn
[edit]It is rumored that there is a video floating around on the internet of pud and an unwilling female cow.
- It appears thet the "pud cigar" image has been deleted. Do we have a suitable replacement or should this be removed from the page? Nisanu 18:47, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- Any idea why it was deleted? Seemed to be a publicity photo meant for these kinds of purposes. Touchdown Turnaround 19:50, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
Okay, now we got a different Pud picture. Why, and why was the prior one removed? And does anyone care?
One Simple Question: Why are Kaplan's ventures into pornographic publishing not mentioned? In the great biographical schema of things, this would seem like a relevant piece of information about his achievements and or failures.
Rollergurl
[edit]Has there been any mention of Pud getting engaged to Rollergurl AKA?
Who asked this question? Why would anyone care?
This article is useless and 100% POV
[edit]BobGoatse 18:59, 10 February 2007 (UTC)I find this whole article to be completely useless. Philip Kaplan is famous for having abandoned FuckedCompany, and for having an outsider (Iggy Fanlo) take control of his company, not to mention his porn ventures and his countless failed business enterprises. This can be documented extensively via web articles and the like (ie - these are NOT unsubstantiated rumors). The fact that this article is protected seems to be only to protect his image. I bet pud doesn't want anyone to know about Privatelabelporn.com, or about the porn video where he's seen enjoying oral sex from a prostitute.
DRAGONFLY: Why did you delete this entry? Pud is an ex-pornographer and a real life failure. I can also document lots of articles where people mention that, after doing a Fuckedcompany site, all his buisness trials have been fucked companies themselves. IF you are indicative of the NPOV quality of wikipedia, this site isn't worth a thing.
Third-party observer: Please provide links to Pud's alleged failed business trials. Thanks.
- Uh, there is AdBrite - would hardly call that a failure at this point. Philip is quite open about his lifestyle, history, and personal tastes - it is only a scandal if you think it is one. He enjoys the notoriety perhaps but in his circles he is not a particularly controversial figure. Wikidemo (talk) 19:50, 9 January 2008 (UTC)
Hey at least Pud is trying, better than 90% of the people who edit useless pages on here, like this one. Give the man some credit for trying. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.213.247.188 (talk) 06:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Redirect to Fucked Company
[edit]Per AfD no consensus for delete but other people nominated redirect to Fucked Company. Consensus for this?
~ Antiselfpromotion (talk) 23:14, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
- Merge-- website seems more notable of the two.NapoliRoma (talk) 16:33, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- Do not Merge-- In addition to F-dcompany, Kaplan founded AdBrite, one of the biggest ad networks on the Internet. Kaplan also founded Tweetname.com, Fast140.com, Mobog.com, and a few other notable sites. Kaplan recently joined top venture capital firm, Charles River Ventures (CRV). Among other investments, CRV was the first investor in Twitter.
- OK, reverted. I'd suggest the article be edited to show evidence of current notability beyond f'dc.--NapoliRoma (talk) 05:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
No Longer At Adbrite, Kaplan has joined Charles River Ventures
[edit]Mr. Kaplan is no longer at AdBrite and has joined Charles River Ventures, the founding investors in companies including Twitter. See http://blogs.wsj.com/venturecapital/2009/06/22/from-a-company-that-couldnt-be-named-at-least-not-here-to-a-big-name-firm/
His name is no longer listed on the AdBrite executive page (which is the source for listing his postion as President in the article). http://careers.adbrite.com/executive-team/
His personal LinkedIn page also shows that he left AdBrite in October. http://www.linkedin.com/in/pudster
The article should be updated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.91.104.249 (talk) 06:41, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
Actually, he got shitcanned from Charles River Ventures, see: http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/12/11/blippy
Now he's pimping out a service to publish level III purchase data on the internet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.230.88.2 (talk) 19:13, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
Typo, nickname is actually "Pup"
[edit]I'm not sure why so many people get the nickname wrong. I was there in 1999 and he referred to himself as "Pup." Could someone fix this? The page is protected so I can't. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.162.23.91 (talk) 00:11, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- He owns the domain pup.com and twitters as user "pup" Touchdown Turnaround (talk) 03:33, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

97.75.251.96 (talk) 21:34, 12 September 2013 (UTC) Why nothing about thousands of AdBrite Publishers Mr. Philip Kaplan SCREWED out of millions of dollars in ad revenue?
- Not done:. Please provide the specific change you want to see in the article, including citations from reliable sources. RudolfRed (talk) 03:34, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

This article provides little to practically no information on Phillip J. Kaplan. Essentially it only states who he works for and where he lives. Given that, it is one of the most heavily vandalized articles on Wikipedia and does nothing to contribute to this encyclopedia. My suggestion is to delete it. Please feel free to comment. Thank you. |
