A fact from Philip Ewell appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 2 July 2021 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that music theorist Philip Ewell received "anti-Black statements and personal ad hominem attacks" following his claim that Western music theory is shaped by a "white racial frame"?
I've archived many of our old conversations where WP:CONSENSUS was already reached and stable for many months or even years. Anyone is free to re-raise any issue here, but it should be done in a new topic thread rather than inserting comments into a long dead discussion whose participants may no longer be active on the encyclopedia, or may have removed the subscriber feature from the conversation long ago. I encourage anyone to start a new topic thread below, even if it is to re-visit something that was discussed earlier. Those who watch this page, it would be good to archive any discussions that are dead after one month which is normal practice on most talk pages across the encyclopedia. It is, but I'm not a bot guy either. If anybody has a bot-knowledgable editor friend I would support setting up an automated archive tool.4meter4 (talk) 21:42, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
A month can be a bit fast for archiving on all but the most active pages, but definitely any discussions dead for a year are in my mind fair game for archiving (and most of these were 3 years old). Thanks all! -- Michael Scott Asato Cuthbert(talk)19:46, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
