pornographer vs selling porn???

[edit]

Mr. Harvey is listed in the catagory American pornographers, would this be more properly applied to those who produce or manufacture the product rather than those who sell it retail? I will remove tag if no objection —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Killing sparrows (talkcontribs) 03:38, 25 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Adam & Eve does produce pornography. They even have hardcore actresses under contract. Some of their most noted productions have included "Rawhide" and "Pirates." Dick Kimball (talk) 20:30, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
This article doesn't have anything to do with pornography. I agree it should be removed. Renee (talk) 15:24, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Uh, have you even read either this or the adam and eve article? Willy turner (talk) 12:51, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Federal Prosecution

[edit]

I think some mention should be made of the federal government prosecuting Mr. Harvey and Adam & Eve. They even tried to use the dirty tactic (OK, my value judgement) of multiple simultaneous prosecutions, where the government uses its unlimited financial resources to overwhelm any defendant's ability to defend himself. It's all in Mr. Harvey's book The government vs. erotica : the siege of Adam & Eve although that's his own side of the story so take that with a POV warning. Tim Black

[edit]

In the second ¶ of the Biography entry, Tim Black is described as "One of his [Phil Harvey's] classmates was Tim Black, a British physician..." However, in the History section of the Wikipedia entry on DTK International he is described as Phil Harvey's "UNC professor Tim Black." This discrepancy really needs to be resolved. Intuitively, the holder of an MD degree is more likely to be teaching than to be enrolled in a "masters degree program in family planning administration." Dick Kimball (talk) 15:29, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Tim Black's biography at the Marie Stopes International site confirms that he was a student at UNC in 1969 and describes Harvey as a "fellow student." N Gilliatt (talk) 15:20, 4 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
