I just added four new subsections and ten citations to support the information under those subsections underneath the larger section of brood parasitism to expand that behavior. I focused on the discovery of this behavior, the use of acoustics and how the butterfly use it to manipulate role social rank in the host hierarchy, how the P. rebeli integrates into the host and why it chooses to parasitize the M. schencki, and its polymorphic larval growth. Just corrected a couple of grammar mistakes that I think made the article flow a bit more easily. Also, I realized that one of my sentences did not have the citation to support it (I had gotten it from a citation that I had cited earlier on in the article, but I had forgotten to attribute that particular sentence to the article as well) so I corrected that. I have reverted it. Please see the WP:REDLINK guideline. Despite being visually unappealing, red links are actually good and should be created for the first instance of everything in the article that is relevant enough to the subject, and notable enough to have an article (regardless if they do or not). They encourage additional article creation (, as well as remove the requirement (and the additional hassle) for revisiting the article and linking them again when the articles have been created. Editing Round 2

Keeping the reviews in mind, which asked me to add more about its adult stage and threats facing this species, I added three more sections and contributed to two of the previous subsections (Discovery of Brood Parasitism and Polymorphic Growth). The three subsections I added focus on the P. rebeli's interactions with its host plant Gentiana cruciata (which it also parasitizes and depends on) and how it is parasitized by the wasp Ichneumon eumerus. I also added a section on the classification conflicts about whether or not it is a separate species from the P. alcon and briefly described the contrasting behavior between these two butterflies. Its relationship with the Gentiana cruciata is present both before it is taken in by the Myrmica ants and as an adult, so I was able to expand a little bit upon its adult stage. Also, I tried to incorporate threats facing it by discussing the parasitic Ichnuemon eumerus and including a couple of sentences of how researchers believe that conservation efforts need to be focused on its food plant as that will have a direct effect on the P. rebeli as well.

Also, I will be editing this article a lot more, particularly in the course of the next week, as I am aware that there are grammatical issues/redundancies that I need to fix (so please don't delete any entire sections because I will get back to fixing them stylistically). I just wanted to get the content up in case there were serious problems with it and someone could point out any changes I needed to make! Thanks for bearing with me! Just added a new section on appearance, taxonomy, and the habitat of the P. rebeli. Also, I am trying to get this article up to Good Article status, so if anyone has any advice, please let me know! I'm going to try to look for conservation efforts next (I'm unable to find anything to do with why it is named the rebeli). NK2015 (talk) 19:33, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

This is a very well written, informative, and interesting section on brood parasitism. I did not change anything in the article. Peer review

Areas for elaboration are the appearance and habitat section. This article is very comprehensive and covers a wide array of topics about the organism. In the introductory section, maybe you should hold off on describing the specifics of its parasite activity until the brood parasitism section below. Multiple listings of the same reference are not needed. Use the same reference number for all statements that are supported a single reference, and each place where that reference link is present will be demarcated by different alphabets in the reference listing at the article end. See the reference section of the article on Lepidoptera for example. The alphabets mark places where the same reference number is used in the body of the article. Hello, I went back and found a journal article link that cited the information on the very broad habitat range the P. rebeli has (Alps and Southern Europe). As I did not initially write that particular part of the Wikipedia article, I am not sure where the person who did got that information as I could not find it on the internet, so I took out the countries' names since the information cold be mistaken. Furthermore, after some more research, I realized I was mistaken about Hirschke (the P. rebeli was found before that). I could not find who initially discovered the P. rebeli, but I was able to locate where it was found, when it was changed to its own species, and the name of the person who did change it to its own species as I have cited and included in the article.

With unsourced paragraphs and sentences all over the place, this article should never have been promoted in its current state. Also, the reviewer did not apparently check any sources for source-text integrity, plagiarism, close paraphrasing, or copyvio. Sourcing is clearer now. As far as possible, it has been checked for plagiarism. Sentences have not been taken verbatim from sources, but have been rephrased by the author keeping the meaning intact. Review for a Behavioral Ecology Class

Hi, as part of a Behavioral Ecology class at Washington University in St. Louis, I am adding my thoughts on this article and potential areas of improvement. I think that this article provides a well-written and informative description of the butterfly's brood parasitism. However, I think that this article would provide a better general overview of the butterfly with additional information on social behaviors between individuals within the species, such as mating or competition. I also think that more information on the later life cycle stages of the butterfly would be useful, as currently the article focuses on the early stages of life. Finally, I think that the classification and taxonomy pages could either be integrated or moved closer together, as having the topics near each other gives the whole article better flow.
