POV, original research
[edit]"He is also an eloquent speaker on the need for biodoversity, and species conservation."
I'll leave it to Mr. Szanton to fix this. Such a statement is POV, and it would be far more appropriate to cite a source, e.g. "John Doe (2001) stated that "Raven's eloquent speech changed my mind about species conservation".
"Dr. Raven is currently writing his memoirs, assisted by Andrew Szanton."
This brings up the issue that additions by Mr. Szanton are "original research", not allowed by Wikipedia, until the memoirs are published. An alternative would be to cite other references for the statements added.--Curtis Clark 15:39, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
Textbook Authorship
[edit]Dr. Raven is also the primary author of one of the more popular introductory textbooks for plant biology (now in the 7th edition), and this may be important to mention —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.103.92.199 (talk) 05:16, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
