I have placed the Deletion Tag on this article because it cites no bibliography and it is to be believed it is original research.--Patsfan121994 (talk) 15:17, 22 January 2011 (UTC)
Peter Kirtley
[edit]Is there any easy way to disambiguate with the rock guitarist Peter Kirtley, who played with Kevin Coyne, e.g. [1], [2], etc? Or should we produce a whole new arrticle for Peter anyway? Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:24, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

- Archived link worked, but did not seem to support claim, so I have removed it. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:37, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
Page issues notices
[edit]Hi, I've just seen the page issues notices posted last October on the Pete Kirtley entry and I'd appreciate guidance. I'm Pete Kirtley's father and wrote the basis of the article some years ago when I was pretty new to Wikipedia. At the time I didn't appreciate that someone close to the subject shouldn't be the author. The problem is, if either Pete or I ask someone else to rewrite the article, they'll almost certainly use the same data and references that I used, and probably just replicate it (though excluding the Honours and Awards paragraph, which I appreciate is unsuitable, at least without better referencing). Could anyone with more experience than me suggest the best way to resolve this? I imagine this sort of thing is pretty common, but people get away with it by using a pseudonym. - I think you were right to remove the awards, as they were unsourced. But I'm not sure that you, as an interested party, can unilaterally remove the two notices. Let's see if someone else can give an appraisal. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 11:39, 27 April 2016 (UTC)
