Good article nomination
[edit]I have not promoted this yet, because I believe 'Trivia' sections are generally frowned upon. If the quoted facts are significant (and they do seem to be), they deserve a mention in the normal flow of the text. Also, I think it should say in the intro which country the locomotive was used in - it's not clear at first that the article is about a US locomotive. The intro could probably be slightly longer as well, to summarise more of the article's content. Worldtraveller 00:35, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks. I've expanded the lead with significant bits from the history, integrated the Trivia items into the article text, and noted locations in the lead. Renommed. Slambo (Speak) 15:02, 14 March 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Pere Marquette 1225.jpg
[edit]Image:Pere Marquette 1225.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

TrainFest vs. TrainFestival
[edit]TrainFest was used in this article incorrectly. TrainFest is a registered trademark of a model railroading show in Milwaukee. I am sure that is how railroad enthusiasts speak of TrainFestival but "trainfest" is a slang term used by those intimate with TrainFestival. Most Wikipedia readers are not.
I added a link to the TrainFestival 2009 web page.

NPOV
[edit]Several places in this article used "we" to refer to the Michigan State University Student Railroad Club. This violate good Wiki style. I edited the sentences involved to make them conform to Wiki style.
