No, it seems that the name derives from Hades (the name of the old city which was located at the coast) and Gomara, which is the name of this region in the Rif. ----Dukeofalba 05:32, 11 October 2007 (UTC)Dukeofalba[reply]

To whom would they give it back? According to the article it was first taken in 1508 from pirates, lost and re-taken in 1564 from the Ottomans. Neither of these still exist. If you are going to start rolling back territorial changes that are centuries old, all of North and South America would have to be given back to the 'original' inhabitants, and Spain would be part of Morrocco, or possibly a province of the Roman Empire!

Thunderstorm?
