This articles is more about 43089 than the Valenta engine itself, very little on the technical side, just someone's love letter to a locomotive. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.92.183.71 (talk) 22:50, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Recently I was reading this article and clicked on the link to the Ventura engine expecting an article on the Ventura Engine. Instead, I was sent to the article on Paxman Diesels. Until there is an actual article on the Ventura, I do not see that there should be a link here. Op47 (talk) 00:32, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Of course there should be a link, see WP:REDLINK. It's more questionable if creating a fairly unhelpful redirect to Paxman was useful.
There's also the issue that within the scope of this article (which after all, is what an article writer sees), it's more useful to link terms that should be linked, so that when those article become available this article doesn't need to be changed further. In that case, I shall try to have the Ventura article deleted until such time that a proper article can be created. That is what your link seems to suggest. Op47 (talk) 13:44, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe I won't. That was quick work. Op47 (talk) 13:48, 23 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

43084

[edit]

Have removed the lengthly paragraph concerning 43084. I note that someone restored some of the text while I was editing. I've left this in, I'm in agreement that although the material about 43084 wasn't really relevant, the farewell tours may well be. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MadSquirrel (talkcontribs) 09:48, 18 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
