I swapped out the picture with one of Dr. Sereno that is more representative of him as a paleontologist in the field. I also plan to add some content regarding his recent work on Spinosaurus. Sbaumgart (talk) 23:09, 27 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Sereno2.jpg

[edit]

Image:Sereno2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:06, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Raptor rex"

[edit]

I just saw Sereno in a National Geographic program plugging an early tyrannosauroid not yet named at that time. (Discovered by him?? From western North America??) - He says "we're going to call it Raptor rex". Looked like a juvenile T. rex to me - maybe 2-3 meters tall. Any idea what this was? -- 201.37.230.43 (talk) 02:22, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I saw Paul on stage at a Nat. Geo. program in Mesa, Arizona, and he said something about that, too. It was so long ago that I don't remember anything he said about it. Paleo Kid (talk) 03:20, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, it's called Raptorex. There's a wikipedia page on it. Paleo Kid (talk) 18:07, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This page needs more info.

[edit]

There is almost nothing about his accomplishments, his life, and everything else. We need some new info! Paleo Kid (talk) 03:33, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Better now. Still needs more work! See esp. the new NatGeo feature article in their Sept 2024 issue. I have a note about that at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Gobero --Pete Tillman (talk) 18:45, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
