On Notability

[edit]

An editor has posted a "notability" tag at the top of the article. I think the article could use expansion from further sources, such as on the subject's leadership and teachings, but as the top leader of a 15,000-member religion with a long history, the subject clearly meets the notability requirement. - Reaverdrop (talk/nl) 02:36, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I thought so (that he would clearly be notable) when I created the article. But as you suggest, the tag probably is legitimately there right now in that the major source used was the church's own publication. I'm sure there are some other sources out there to be found, though. Rich Uncle Skeleton (talk) 03:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, there's a different tag for that, and you're right as applied to that tag. I'll take the liberty of swapping the tags now; if the user who posted the WP:N tag wants it back, I think the burden is on him now to explain here. - Reaverdrop (talk/nl) 03:57, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Yes, I'm obviously confused about the tags. So troublesome, these tags. :) Rich Uncle Skeleton (talk) 03:59, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
There is a new reference by the historical association. Jcg5029 (talk) 21:31, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

There is currently no wikipedia article explaining the usage of "apostle" in the context of this particular organization. It is bad form to link this to a disambiguation page, which is what apostle does. Since my previous correction, which linked to Apostle (Mormonism) was reverted, apparently that is not the most correct link either (I can understand that). It's possible this link is not needed, since it is followed closely by the link to the Quorum, but I have left it in place, linked to the wiktionary definition. The link you added is excellent. Good work. JRN 12:10, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
