[edit]@Orangemike and Joseph2302:
Yes, I am the subject of the article. As Mike ascertained, I implied this by the choice of name for my Wikipedia account. Nonetheless, I understand your concerns and thank you for bringing them to my attention. Thanks to Joseph, I now have a better understanding of appropriate (and inappropriate) cross-references between articles. The question now: is there anything I can do to help clean up the article, consistent with Wikipedia guidelines? Thank you. Solomonandlord (talk) 14:49, 28 May 2015 (UTC)

Solomonandlord here: I'm providing a few sources that may be useful. Levine has been elected to the Penn State University Society of Distinguished Alumni. It’s a group of about 250 out of 630,000 living alumni. Members include Nobel winners, astronauts, prominent scholars, a military Medal of Honor winner, and at least two NFL Hall of Fame members. (The bio is accurate through 2003). http://alumni.psu.edu/awards/individual/daa/docs/2003-distinguished/Levine.pdf
Similarly, Levine has won an Alumni Achievement Award of the University of Miami School of Law, an honor given to prominent judges, elected officials, and lawyers who have achieved significant notoriety in their professions. http://www.law.miami.edu/alumni/pdf/2014/022714-LAA-award.pdf

For 25 years, in addition to writing legal thrillers and other novels, Levine has been considered an expert on Florida crime fiction. “Courthouse Vultures Lend their Own Spirit to Scene in Miami,” by John Pacenti, Associated Press, November 27, 1993. And: “Writers Paradise: Unimaginable Weirdness, Random Mayhem Make Miami Today’s Mystery Capital,” by Hugh Mulligan, Los Angeles Times, December 24, 1993. And: "Written in Blood: A New Generation of Chandlers and Hammetts is Turning South Florida's Murder and Mayhem into Mystery Novels to Kill For," Sunshine magazine, July 10, 1994.
There are many more references in the form of newspaper and magazine stories from the 1990's that cannot be found on the Internet. I hope some of this has been useful. Solomonandlord (talk) 17:02, 19 June 2015 (UTC)Solomonandlord
- Thank you for the information. I've added content and sources about First Monday: a writer's co-creation of a notable network TV series is certainly the kind of thing that belongs in a bio article. I'd already added the Christian Science Monitor profile. I'm not sure about the rest of this, however. I think Levine's notability as an author is now clearly established, but we don't want to start re-inserting puffery and promotional text into this recently de-puffed article. Award nominations and college honoraria, for example, are of uncertain significance unless they are reported as such in reliable sources. I would be more motivated to include additional independent reliable sources that substantively cover Levine's works. --Arxiloxos (talk) 19:57, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
