Given Belloq's violent death in Raiders, isn't it a bit silly to suggest that he was 'expected' to play in the sequels. Freeman starred in a TV serial over 20 years ago. A sentimental play about a man (Freeman)trying to get back with his wife, (divorced?), but she was happily living with another man, a garage owner, and would not leave him.
