Hi User:Onel5969 you deleted the page and made it a redirect. How would you feel about reverting that decision and seeking a second opinion or seeking consensus? I'm open minded to this outcome, but I'd prefer to have had the chance to discuss, yet it's not so easy to discuss now that you deleted all the content. No, I don't have an issue with it. I've restored it and tagged it for notability, letting another reviewer take a shot. I would suggest you find more in-depth coverage of him, since all the current coverage is about the center (which btw, I marked as reviewed). Onel5969TT me14:21, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I appreciate this. I recognize a lot of the sources are primary, but I thought it passed GNG. I'll reassess that perception in the next few days. I do appreciate that you went for the redirect rather than the AfD and your openness to discuss. I'll try to improve it in the short term. CT55555 (talk) 14:24, 3 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi CT55555 - there's really been no improvement since the above, and right now it does not appear to meet GNG. Would you prefer I redirect it again, or send it to AfD? Onel5969TT me11:46, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm apologize, I neglected this until your prompt. I've spent some time finding more information about him and added it, notably:
Talk about him in a book that was published last month!
Awards he has been given (some are solid, some are not so much, but I included both)
Papers he has published that have been used to inform other academic papers, I only included ones where there was widespread influence
Content about his work during the SARS epidemic
I hope this will satisfies you that he meets GNG. If it does not please say and I will see if there is more I can do. If you feel compelled to urgently make a AfD or merge decision, I would favour an AfD. Thank you for asking and for giving me the time to make changes. CT55555 (talk) 16:03, 6 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
