Youngest Boomer ever?
[edit]I know the references say Mills is the youngest ever Boomer, but I don't believe it. Mills debuted on 31-July-2007, which made him 11 days short of his 19th birthday. But I think Andrew Vlahov (b. April 1969) and Mark Bradtke (b. September 1968) debuted at the age of 17 or 18. This reference[1] says Vlahov debuted in 1987, which means he debuted at younger than 18 years 9 months, which makes him younger than Mills was. More to follow... Peter Ballard (talk) 05:47, 22 August 2008 (UTC) (Edited to fix math).
I'll add that I don't believe that Mills' college games were broadcast live on Australian TV either, despite a ref saying so. Peter Ballard (talk) 06:39, 22 August 1908 (UTC)
- ESPN showed his games, sometimes live. Because the WCC is in such a late timezone they are live at about 4pm AEST. mightymouseman —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.72.251.107 (talk • contribs)
Even more reliable than the Canberra Times reference above, here is an Australian Institute of Sport reference saying Vlahov and Bradtke debuted in 1987.[2] I'll change the article shortly. Mills definitely wasn't the youngest Boomer ever. Peter Ballard (talk) 06:18, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
Page is Untidy
[edit]This page should be neat. For someone as important to Australian basketball as Patty is, can't we find a picture? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 114.72.251.107 (talk • contribs)
Trail Blazers
[edit]Isn't he still under contract with the Trail Blazers? --Christomir (talk) 12:19, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
- He was listed as a restricted free agent here. Zagalejo^^^ 02:15, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Hmm, that makes it very interesting for players like him going to Europe right now. Since their NBA team still has some control over them, should we consider a player like that still a member of that team, while playing in Europe during the lockout? Christomir (talk) 23:01, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
- (Sorry, I missed this reply.) I don't really know how we should handle this. But I think, for the sake of simplicity, it might be better to just list him as a current member of one team. Zagalejo^^^ 06:12, 18 October 2011 (UTC)

Understatement
[edit]"one of the first Indigenous Australians to play basketball in the NBA" - isn't this a bit of an understatement? He's obviously the first to ever come close. Adum (talk) 04:14, 19 June 2014 (UTC)
