Middle name "Hewes"
Just in case it comes up again, it seems that he briefly used a made-up middle name of Hewes for legal reasons (see here). Doesn't need to be in the article. Bromley86 (talk) 21:31, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
Residence
Do we want his residence? It's always going to be pretty hard to define, using often-outdated sources, which of a wealthy person's homes is their residence. However, if we do want it, he has a place in Bermondsey and a main residence in Oxfordshire.[1] Somewhere near Enstone.[2] Bromley86 (talk) 21:57, 17 July 2016 (UTC)
Days of Future Past blurb factually and grammatically accurate but confusing/misleading
The section Patrick_Stewart#X-Men_film_series ends with this sentence:
- Stewart reprised his role as Professor Charles Xavier, alongside Ian McKellen as Magneto, and both their younger counterparts (played by James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, respectively), in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past; it was helmed by Bryan Singer, who directed the first and second films in the series.[1]
When i first read that, i thought it was wrong, because i read the first part as:
- Stewart reprised his role as Professor Charles Xavier (alongside Ian McKellen as Magneto) and both their younger counterparts...
...which wrongly implies that Stewart reprises the roles of Xavier, young Xavier, and young Magneto.
i tried to rephrase that section without removing any information, but ultimately i feel that only the part about Patrick Stewart (he reprises Xavier in X-Men: Days of Future Past) needs to stay in the Patrick Stewart article, and linking to the movie's article should suffice for the rest of the stuff about the movie, such as the stuff about his co-stars. If any of that other stuff really needs to stay here, maybe something like:
- Stewart (along with quite a few others, including the director) returned to the X-Men franchise in the 2014 film X-Men: Days of Future Past.

- I agree: the cast information is not helpful here. It consists of editors adding stuff because they know it, and isn't about Stewart. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 22:23, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
- Looking further at that section, it badly needs work: going on about video games and fan-magazine quotes without even mentioning the film titles. I'll try to fix it. -Jason A. Quest (talk) 22:44, 18 September 2016 (UTC)

Filmography
can someone add a complete filmography for patrick stewart —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.205.69.116 (talk • contribs) I believe he also narrated all three volumes of the movie documentary THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT in a re-release of that series in the late 1990s, but I can't find anything about it on-line. (I have videotapes of it deep in the bowels of one of my storage units somewhere, but that doesn't help unless I can find them.) Citation for Maybury
I remember watching him in it. Can a video act as a citation? There's one here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-V2unaEoIII "11 May 1981 BBC2 Maybury trailer". Or there's http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0287248/ "Maybury". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Essemen (talk • contribs) 02:09, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
Stage (1990-Present) error
"He staged encore performances in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996, again for the benefit of survivors and victims' families in the 11 September attacks, and a 23-day run in London's West End in December 2005."
The 1992-96 performances could not have benefitted the survivors and victims' families in the 11 September attacks because the attacks had not yet occurred (2001).
Kathyscott (talk) 04:08, 5 February 2017 (UTC)
- The sentence could perhaps be better crafted or maybe used a semicolon instead of that comma (He staged encore performances in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1996; again for the benefit of...) before "again" but the meaning is this:
- He staged encore performances in 1992, 1993, 1994, and 1996.
- In 2005 he staged a benefit of survivors and victims' families of the 11 September attacks, and also performed in a 23-day London's West End run in December 2005.

Contradiction
The lead paragraph says that he is a "multiple time Olivier, (etc.) nominee".
The next two paragraphs claim that he has won two Olivier awards -- in 1979 and 2008.
Which is it? Did he actually win the awards, or was he just a nominee? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.249 (talk) 20:53, 3 July 2018 (UTC)
Patrick Stewart and the Labour Party

The photograph in the article of Bristol Old Vic Theatre School is in fact the Scenic Workshop. The School occupies a grand house near the Downs. Longest marvel superhero record
Hi I think someone needs to remove the longest marvel superhero record part on Mr Stewarts wiki, as I believe that Tobey M and William D broke that last year in Spiderman NWH. I know that some people may say that he might be Prof X in the upcoming Dr Strange film but there is no confirmation of that, and until there is (or isn't) then I think this should be removed. My thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.205.218.252 (talk • contribs) 00:45, 14 February 2022 (UTC)

Best known for
why doesn't it say that he is best known for his role as Cpt. Picard? Who knows him from his various stage roles while not knowing that he is the one who plays Cpt. Picard? Maybe someone who died in the early 80s? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.206.64.153 (talk • contribs) 13:19, 29 December 2021 (UTC)
- You have a kind of roundabout point. It's irrelevant what any Wikipedia editor thinks is his best or most famous role or what makes him most famous. We shouldn't be guessing at what he's "best known for". NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 11:59, 30 December 2021 (UTC)
- No, you're wrong. He is best known for two roles, Picard and Professor X. It isn't a guess or an opinion, it is a fact. He is best known for those roles. 108.54.234.109 (talk) 07:30, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
- I would second this opinion. The viewership for Stewart's Star Trek and X-Men shows and films most certainly out number by orders of magnitude the number of those who have seen his stage performances. Jyg (talk) 05:59, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
Importance of his role in the 1995 film "Jeffrey"
I feel like it's a disservice to not include a mention of his fantastic turn in the film Jeffrey. As far as important cultural HIV and LGBTQ+ milestones go, Jeffrey, especially as a comedy in 1995, was right up there with Angels In America and The Normal Heart. Sir Patrick's involvement with the film in a time where that could be precarious for an actor's career of his caliber was a testament to his strength and conviction of his support for his LGBTQ+ friends and the community at large. 172.58.139.228 (talk) 07:07, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
- Jeffrey (1995 film) has its own article. The film is on Patrick Stewart on stage and screen, where it belongs. --AntientNestor (talk) 07:47, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
Minor edit request to his contributions to LEGO Universe
In the article it mentions that he voiced the story plaques for the game LEGO Universe. He did indeed do voice lines for these story plaques, but they were never used in-game. His presence in-game is limited to narrating part of the game tutorial, providing audio for on-screen prompts telling the player how to move, jump and rotate the camera.
I suggest either replacing the story plaque part with tutorial, or removing it. Wincent01 (talk) 14:07, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
