Google Map Discrepancy ? Comment
[edit]i think i will also contact google maps about this but here it is. i was messing about on google maps when i saw a place name (Paparangi) and clicked on it. i saw that it had quick facts from wikipedia that took me to this page. (Paparangi in the Wellington area). where was the area that i was clicking on, in google maps? - - - - -about north west of Wanganui !! in the same island as Wellington but not much else ! hmmmmm. - It's not unusual for place names to be duplicated around New Zealand. There is a locality called Paparangi northwest of Whanganui (almost directly north of Kai Iwi) but it's not notable enough for Wikipedia to have an article on it (so far). The Wellington suburb is much more notable. Google Maps should not be linking to this article from the locality near Whanganui, but that's not something we have any control over.-gadfium 04:23, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
