[edit]it is, i think, native here, in netherlands. both of my granddads used to remark if a plant was not (and they didn't, nor did anyone or anything else). also the dutch name 'kweek'('tilling') pronounces the same as 'quake'. it may primarily reproduce through the rizomes, but can do so via seeds quite enthusiastically also, esp. in worked soil. that is i think how it got everywhere.80.57.108.47 (talk) 20:31, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
