No sense

The sentence 'Mostly canals are six monthly', makes no sense to me. Does the writer mean that the canals only have water in them for six months of the year? And does he actually mean 'canals', or water channels, used to irrigate the fields. Even so, surely the fields need water for more than six months? Energyworm (talk) 23:46, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
