I've got the Regiment by Michael Asher (explorer) from the library for a couple days. Obviously Mayne plays a big part in it, if anyone more knowledgeable than I wants some cites quoted please let me know ASAP. I also added an infobox, no guarantee that it's comprehensive. As Paddy Mayne was born in 1915, should Ireland be put as his country of birth or Northern Ireland? I assume the former but a certain individual keeps reverting this to Northern Ireland despite Northern Ireland not existing until 1921. What is wikipedia's policy on this matter?

An IP keeps changing the standard wikipedia format for post-nominals from
DSO & Three Bars to DSO***, the latter not being the standard format on wikipedia. The IP also accompanies the changes with thoroughly offensive edit summaries. The talk page is the correct place for such discussions which should be kept civil. Dormskirk (talk) 19:29, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
