[edit]

If someone's got some time on their hands, here's the missing years of PFA Premiership Team of the Year. I don't know whether the selection is a 4-4-2 every year. Sutton's inclusion in 1995 suggests otherwise. Player of the year in bold.

Previous winners in yellow highlight

[edit]

I started doing this for the League One winners in 2010, but I'm now wondering if it's a useful and/or necessary thing? Does it add substantial value to the lists? --Dweller (talk) 14:08, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not alot from what i can see, maybe for champ, L1, L2, it's more useful. But it seems to make it less clear to read. Bobbymozza 04:54 29 April 2010 (UTC)

Seems to me it'd be most useful if it were for whichever team won the League that year. Highlight players from that team. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.92.73.16 (talk) 04:33, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If previous winners are highlighted in yellow, then shouldnt David James second win in 2008 be yellow and be marked "2nd Appearance" and also his first win in 1996 should not be highlighted? Also i agree with the comment that says it makes it harder to read and maybe it should be just given to the winners of the league or else scrapped altogether and the "appearance" column added to all of the sections to make it more easier on the eye. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.255.65.137 (talk) 00:54, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Break up

[edit]

Is it worth breaking this article up, season-by-season? It's already pretty big, but if it was fully comprehensive it'd be huge. ArtVandelay13 (talk) 09:37, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, hang on, it is fully comprehensive! Good work. But the point stands, I think. ArtVandelay13 (talk) 09:41, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Aye, I got them all up recently. What would you have in mind to break it up? I was thinking something like moving half of them to another article (named something like "PFA Team of the Year (1973–1992)") and renaming the existing one, a la the current crop of players' list (eg List of Watford F.C. players (fewer than 50 appearances)? Sounds good to me.--EchetusXe 23:28, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Could we do this now? It's a mammoth article and takes a while to load so I can only imagine what it's like for people with a slow connection. Argyle 4 Lifetalk 23:11, 22 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
