Proposed merge
[edit]I am proposing that this article be merged to 702. Grinstead is not notable on her own right as the group's notability in not inherited onto its members. This article is a target of WP:BLP issues and is better off merged to the group's article; any relevant information can be mentioned in that article. I'll wait two weeks for responses and rebuttals, and will merge the article if discussion does not take place, as silence may imply consensus. If the merge is reverted after that date, we'll try another solution. — Σxplicit 21:18, 21 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oppose merge or deletion. Unfortunately there will be no silence on this. Same line that's on my talk page. This biography is not perfect, and neither are a lot of the bio articles out there. She was notable enough to earn a small article in the Newark Star-Ledger, a respectable enough paper. Granstead's biography has existed for more than one year, and has been actively edited by approximately 20 users and guests since that time. It's small, it needs some expansion, probably with more obscure sources not located online, but it works. Scanlan (talk) 13:02, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
The source, which is the only one in the article, is more of the history of 702 than it is more of Grinstead, which would fit more appropriately there than here. If we were to remove all of information regarding the band from this article, we'd be left only with her death; surely, not something that makes someone notable. The fact that it's been around for over a year or how many times it has been edited is irrelevant—there are several articles that have been here for a long time that are not notable. As it stands, this article does not meet musicians' inclusion criteria. As I stated above, this article is best merged with the group's article. — Σxplicit 00:38, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Any more thoughts? — Σxplicit 17:51, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- Support merge - If you were to remove all things about the group 702 from this article, it seems like it would only have one or two sentences (including the one about her death). I think it would be better suited over at 702 instead of here by itself. *Vendetta* (whois talk edits) 03:53, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support - She is not notable outside of the band. Fixer23 (talk) 22:52, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
