Czech & Slovak

[edit]

The article initially said that there were Czech & Slovak air units.

I have changed this to Czechoslovak because the air units were NOT divided into separate Czech and Slovak units. The nation these airmen came from was Czechoslovakia. I understand NOW that nation has been divided into two. And even under German occupation a separate Slovak nation was formed.

FYI, the nations involved probably should all be mentioned in the Lead or early in body of article if it makes sense. Or move the Order of battle list up instead. -Fnlayson (talk) 23:18, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ta, I'm still working on the narrative and hope to finish it today. The lead, infobox and the OoB await....Regards Keith-264 (talk) 10:24, 29 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's some impressive work done here in the last week! I'm not very familiar with this operation, so off the top of my head, I'd think some of the standard sources on the BofA (like Blair in the further reading - Milner may have details, etc.). I know Sturmvogel wrote a couple of articles on the French destroyers that were involved - Jordan & Moulin may be useful (cited in those articles - I don't have a copy, but he does). Forsyth's Shadow over the Atlantic and Brown's Eagles Over the Sea will probably help with Luftwaffe stuff. I'd think Brice's Axis Blockade Runners of World War II would be useful. Thanks I'll look into them tonight, You're not so bad yourself ;O) Regards Keith-264 (talk) 16:14, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Most done now but will amend as I get sources, need more on the Luftwaffe units involved.Keith-264 (talk) 14:09, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Checked Orsono-Osono and made sure all were spelled Osono, checked Alsterufer for 'Alsterufer' and changed from 'A' to A; auto-edded again and dupe wl. checked. RegardsKeith-264 (talk) 19:04, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
