Name and duplication
[edit]I think that Opera House Kiel is no common name and no good English, - it should be moved to Opernhaus Kiel, in analogy to Opernhaus Wuppertal and several others. IF we have two articles, one should focus on the building, the other on the company, while at present both have a bit of both. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:20, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Agreed. Creating a request as only a page mover can move a page to an existing namespace. 1-555-confide (talk) 18:47, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Just to note, that by "duplication" Gerda is referring to Theater Kiel. I suggest we discuss the duplication issue here and also leave a note at Talk:Theater Kiel to let editors there know. Voceditenore (talk) 21:09, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
Requested move 14 March 2017
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Moved; it should be further discussed whether Kiel Opera House should be a disambig page. — JFG talk 06:16, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Opera House Kiel → Opernhaus Kiel – As per discussion above. Namespace is already occupied by a redirect page. 1-555-confide (talk) 18:47, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Support. We have several articles on German opera houses with the German name, which is the common name, - Opernhaus Dortmund is another example, Opernhaus am Taschenberg a historic one. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:21, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- Support Per Gerda Arendt, but suggest we also create a redirect to this article from Kiel Opera House, the more grammatical (in English). Voceditenore (talk) 21:06, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- At the moment, that points to a different thing with formerly the same name. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:12, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
