"Just Outside Sunnyvale"?

[edit]

I think this needs to be changed. First, it was always within Sunnyvale (meaning that it is completely surrounded by it). Second, the BRAC process is now complete, and the property is entirely within the jurisdiction of Sunnyvale now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jokeboy (talkcontribs) 19:25, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Onizuka AFS was definitely in Sunnyvale well before the station closed. I have updated the article with a more precise location and reference, including latitude and longitude coordinates from a historical aerial map pinpointing the Blue Cube. A 1956 map[1] of Sunnyvale shows that the Onizuka parcel was just outside the city limits at that time, so perhaps it wasn't within the city limits at the time of the station's initial construction in 1960. Quite a number of references say the station was just outside of Sunnyvale's city limits. Balazer (talk) 07:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
