Omar Suleiman (Imam)Omar Suleiman (imam) – to reverse the move by another editor; per WP:TITLEFORMAT, user lower-case except for the first letter in the title and where a word would ordinarily be capitalized in the middle of a sentence; "imam" is not a proper noun; but I couldn't move it myself Largoplazo (talk) 14:19, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This needs a histmerge. — JJMC89(T·C) 14:25, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Note: I did not contest the move and have no opinion on it. Whether this is moved or not, it needs a histmerge from Omar Suleiman (imam) since the article was moved to Omar Suleiman (Imam) by cut-and-paste. — JJMC89(T·C) 20:52, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
This is a contested technical request (permalink). EdJohnston (talk) 17:50, 15 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Biodata missing

[edit]

Date of birth missing. In ictu oculi (talk) 00:03, 17 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@In ictu oculi: The only mention of a DOB I could find was an article that states that Suleiman is 29, which means he could have been born in 1987 or 1988. So, I added that. Kamalthebest (talk) 03:27, 21 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vicious Attacks and Threats from ISIS & Islamophobes Alike

[edit]

Imam Omar Suleiman has recently come under attack from various hate groups, as are other prominent Muslim Scholars and his colleagues from Yaqeen Institute. Recent, wave of attacks seem to be portraying him as a vicious homophobe, while time and again, through his actions and words he has made it very clear that everyone has the right to live their lives as they wish. While talking to Dallas News he quoted the Quranic verse, "There is no Compulsion in Religion" while talking about fighting for the rights of LGBT community.[1]. Later, to further clarify, Imam Omar posted explanation on his Facebook page.[2]. Bryse.Larkin (talk) 21:32, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yaqeen Institute Wikipedia Page

[edit]

It would be nice to have a wikipdea page for Yaqeen Institute. I am very new to Wikipedia and I have absolutely no idea how to make a page, but if anyone wants to make it, this is their website: http://yaqeeninstitute.org CirclePulse (talk) 19:38, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has requested that Omar Suleiman (politician) be moved to Omar Suleiman, which may be of interest to this WikiProject. You are invited to participate in the move discussion. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 23:25, 2 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
