[edit]No such thing as DNA or not, can be any no matter what. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lyhendr (talk • contribs) 17:35, 10 September 2018 (UTC)

this sentence is inaccurate and makes no sense
[edit]"In 1989, DNA testing was done and proved that in DNA testing at the time three of the five probes matched Hart's DNA making the chance Hart was the killer 1 in 7,700." This sentence makes it seem like DNA tests made it unlikely he was the killer. The opposite is true, as the cited article makes clear. This should be changed to be accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:6C55:4B00:1C7:25AE:C170:4E2E:55EB (talk) 07:57, 22 June 2020 (UTC)
- Yes I can't believe after all these years and they cannot figure out and give them girls peace of course they know nothing but we do even bothers me that they don't know who done this and can't say like you said heart did this it's what she could have been a man admitted to it how could he do something like that God will wake him up to punish him Thank you very much 2603:9001:7200:10AA:E199:7DC5:46CB:A561 (talk) 23:09, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Oops I should’ve read your discussion before I posted mine. Hope the article author corrects this problem we both noticed. Kersten (talk) 04:57, 3 August 2020 (UTC)
1 in 7,700
[edit]The statement about the probability of Hart being the murderer is misleading at best. It reads like the likelihood of him being the donor of the DNA is only 1 in 7,700, but the article cited states that only 1 in 7,700 Native Americans have the same gene sequence as was found on the bodies. His DNA had that same sequence. I believe that would work out to the likelihood of him being the donor as about 99.98% but I wouldn’t put *my* math in this article. added a citation
[edit]I just added a citation to the statement about what Hart was previously convicted for before escaping from prison. I also noticed that the sentence may be a little too closely worded to a sentence from the article I cited discussing the convictions. Scarlett016 (talk) 19:27, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
Two different tent numbers
[edit]It states the girls were in tent #8 in the beginning but then in the lawsuit it says tent #7. NewsNation just did a remembrance of this sad tragedy in the loss of 3 beautiful young lives and they said they were in tent #7. I wish this was corrected be clear if it was #7 or if it was #8. Their truth deserves to be accurate. 2600:100C:B223:F56:44A3:90A8:DC1C:411F (talk) 08:31, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
Donut box
[edit]where was Hart when they found that donut box with the note, before the murders.. 2601:8B:8500:BC:E52F:1171:D222:1D2D (talk) 00:37, 10 October 2023 (UTC)
Family
[edit]Denise was my cousin. We NEVER believed that Gene was the killer. I suspect that a counselor did it or knows who did. 2601:2C7:87F:8B50:530:27AC:5507:65E3 (talk) 14:38, 29 February 2024 (UTC)
citations regarding claims of prior murder convictions
[edit]See pertinent newspaper stories that evidently only supports the claim of prior rape convictions.
Google search extract shows "filed against the convicted rapist who escaped ... charged with the rape of pregnant women" after be ... CAPTURED FUGITIVE-Gene Leroy Hart, accused of killing."
Subsequent stories claim that Karl Lee Myers murdered the girls. 15:33, 29 March 2024 (UTC) Fabrickator (talk) 15:33, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
