Oppose: While the two fish may cause the same gastrointestinal symptoms, they are separate species in separate genuses and IMO are deserving of separate articles. Willbyr (talk | contribs) 13:20, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Oppose: Different species. 69.140.164.142 13:22, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

"Escolar Substitution for Tuna" link
[edit]At the end of the last introductory paragraph, there is an incongruous bit about escolar being fraudulently sold in a similar way to oilfish. There is a link to the subsection "Escolar Substitution for Tuna" on the page of "Applied Food Technologies". However, there is no such thing. In addition, the article I am brought to has a very "promotory" tone. I did find articles online linking them to operations to screen for mislabeled escolar, however I feel that a better approach would be to link to the subsection on the actual page on it: Escolar#Mislabeling. I would also like to rephrase the reference to connect it more with the topic of the article.
I (or somebody else) might make these small changes on February 5, if nobody objects.
(Also, first post; sorry for any formatting blunders) --Thmskmbl (talk) 05:31, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
- I don't know where to put this, but the two pictures of the fish on the bar of the right of the page seem to be of different species of fish. 199.36.253.9 (talk) 12:31, 15 May 2023 (UTC)
