The Ohio Defense Force is organized into four battalions,[6] and maintains a signal corps[7] and a security unit attached to its headquarters.[8] 1st Battalion has a Recon Company and a Medical squad attached to it. Recon (D Company)is the Special Ops for the Ohio Defense Force. All Recon Members are Airborne and Scuba Qualified and pass a yearly physical test.
The Ohio Defense Force Infantry uses the woodland [Battle Dress Uniform] with a [U.S. Woodland) [boonie hat], along with black [combat boots] as its uniform. The Ohio Defense Force Recon uses (Tiger Stripe) as their (Battle Dress uniform). All ODF Members are required to own a military-patterned rifle, six magazines, and maintain a survival kit with weather-appropriate clothing, water, and first aid supplies.[9]
