Reference and Rework opening paragraph
[edit]After adding the criticisms section, I think the rest of the article could use some work. I plan to reference and rework the rest of this article beginning with the opening paragraph. My thought is to use the same approach I used on Road. I will attempt to reference what is in the article; building, removing and reworking based on what I find when looking for references. If you have references for any text currently in the article please post them. It will probably be a couple days before I start. Jeepday (talk) 22:09, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- It would appear I have not gotten to this yet. Seems I have been spending most of my Wiki time on Wikipedia:Unreferenced articles, Might be a couple more days before I get to this. Feel free to jump in ahead of me :) Jeepday (talk) 03:48, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
Newton and Physics
[edit]Netwon's laws of physics don't describe SUV's as the SUV hadn't been invented at the time. Suggect the link is added in a different context. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alexander-Scott (talk • contribs) 14:04, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
- Newton's laws still apply to many things that he never knew in his lifetime. Instead of removing an entire section, perhaps try to make it right, especially if you merely object to the wording.Athene cunicularia 15:36, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Recent changes September 2007
[edit]Edits by three anon editors (possibly the same editor) removed referenced and consensually agreed to text in the article. I replaced the text. In this edit Diff User:70.0.159.37 argues that Wikipedia:Editing policy content in another article should not be duplicated in a second article. I reverted that repeat deletion of text and am here to point out that WP:EP#Major_changes is talking about preserving information but removing duplication in the same article may be appropriate. The body of work in Off-road_vehicle#Criticisms represents the solution to several months of discussion. Please discuss any similar edits here and get consensus before making them. difference between all-road vehicle?
[edit]And why isn't there an article for all-road vehicle? 78.110.160.85 (talk) 22:29, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
No mention of Electric Off-Road Vehicles?
[edit]It seems it would be helpful to at least mention electric off-road vehicles, perhaps in the "Environment" section. It would present an alternative to convention ORVs, both in terms of emissions and noise pollution. I'll make the same suggestion on the ATV page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harris.thomasj (talk • contribs) 13:59, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Off-road trucks
[edit]I have just created Off-road truck and Off-road trucks as redirects to this article as I was unable to find anything more specific. If there is somewhere I've missed or you want to write an article then please go ahead. Thryduulf (talk) 10:11, 1 May 2013 (UTC)
Incomplete and Missing References
[edit]Hi there. This article could improve drastically by citing sources. There is a lot of information that I think technically needs to be removed because it is not sourced. Although that is the case I have left the information because the page is flagged as unreliable. I have inserted multiple places where information needs to be sourced but ultimately there are numerous places where this is true therefore, I did not add them all. There is information that is presented in an opinion based manner as well. It would required a lot of time and effort to clean this page up and search for the missing sources.
