- ... that the Russian vigilante group Occupy Pedophilia filmed more than a hundred anti-gay attacks between 2012 and 2014? Source: hrw

- The article is long enough and new enough. I assume good faith on the Spanish reference. The hook is cited. A QPQ has been completed. SL93 (talk) 07:49, 13 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: could you point out to me where the hook fact is stated in the article? Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 22:23, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Yoninah, search "114 videos". (t · c) buidhe 22:25, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe just a hook stating "114 videos" instead of "more than a hundred"? SL93 (talk) 01:14, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
SL93, because those are just the ones Human Rights Watch looked at, there are almost certainly more... (t · c) buidhe 01:53, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: And what about
between 2012 and 2014
? Yoninah (talk) 09:17, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: And what about
Yoninah, The report states that the group started its activities in 2012. The report was published in 2014. Logically all these incidents must have happened in the interim. (t · c) buidhe 12:30, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Buidhe: I've indicated the sentence where we need an inline cite for DYK per WP:DYK#Cited hook. Thanks, Yoninah (talk) 13:31, 20 July 2020 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: It has been cited. SL93 (talk) 03:39, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. All is in order. Restoring tick (for online source) per SL93's review. Yoninah (talk) 10:14, 21 July 2020 (UTC)
They were claiming to be anti paedophile attacks. I watch some of them. All were violent, but some were anti paedophile while some: anti homosexual. Do watch to judge for yourself. Zezen (talk) 05:59, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
"vigilante"
[edit]"Vigilante" almost seems NPOV. Are we sure the description shouldn't be "Propaganda group" or something? —valereee (talk) 22:26, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
- "Vigilante" is the term used in most of the sources. buidhe 22:51, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Sounds right.
See here: https://meduza.io/news/2014/10/20/belaya-sotnya-nasledniki-tesaka however for a fuller story.

- I do not think that is a reliable source, it is closely linked to the blacklisted website lenta.ru. (t · c) buidhe 08:55, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- What happened on 12 March 2014, the date after which Lenta.ru is considered blacklisted? Its editor-in-chief Galina Timchenko was fired, after which a major part of Lenta.ru team has left, and joined Timchenko to found a new Internet newspaper, Meduza. That's the idea of the blacklist -- Meduza is considered to be the actual heir of the old lenta.ru.
- That said, the decision to blacklist Lenta.ru has been made hastily, on flimsy grounds and without a proper discussion, while there are multiple opposing voices within the Wikipedia community. I think that decision should be protested (although it's an offtopic for this talk page).

What it says?
[edit][1]. When I tried to check this non-English language reference, it was linked here. It is under paywall. I can not read or translate what is says on the subject. Is it possible to quote it in English directly. I doubt it is on the subject of this page. Meaning what evidence exists that this group is connected to the group/network which is the subject of this page? Simply allegedly being "inspired" by something is not a reason for inclusion here - based on a single news source. Note that it is claimed on the page in WP voice and as a matter of fact: "The Russian group inspired a similar group in Spain". Did it really? What evidence? Is it anything significant since it was mentioned only in a single news source? My very best wishes (talk) 15:13, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
