Part 2: Please update Programming section

[edit]
 • Specific text to be edited: Programming section paragraph
OUTtv produces and acquires programming of LGBT-interest; including Cam Boy, Fak Yaass, Group Sext and Call Me Mother. The Canadian TV channel has notably received its highest ratings overall for domestic airings of the RuPaul's Drag Race franchise. OutTV also produced aftershow features for the show, featuring Richard Ryder in character as drag queen Wilma Fingerdoo.
+
OUTtv's programming consists of originally produced LGBTQ+ content and domestic and foreign acquisitions. Newer original content by OUTtv includes Canadian-based productions Sew Fierce, Dating Unlocked, Sugar Highs and Call Me Mother. Original American content produced in association with OUTtv includes For the Love of DILFS, X-Rated, Sherry Vine Variety Show, Dr. Jackie, and Willam Belli's courtroom show Iconic Justice. Expanding on its international complement, in 2024 OUTtv acquired global SVOD rights to the BBC competition series Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make Up Star, and is to co-finance the show’s sixth season.

Why do we need to update the section so that it only focuses on the most recent original productions while burying noteworthy older ones? There's no problem with adding the new stuff to the article, but why would we need to take older stuff away from it? Bearcat (talk) 17:39, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Bearcat, the older programming was requested to be grouped together to remain in the article, (please see previous coi request "Part 1: Please update second last paragraph, Acquisition by Ronald N. Stern section"), with newer programming arranged together into the Programming section in this "Part 2" request – while avoiding duplication of information into both sections. But absolutely, if you are able to move all programming old and new to the Programming section - well that would be fabulous! I do hope that between the two edit requests "Part 1 and Part 2", that no information was removed. I agree, no information should be taken away from the article. If you are able to take the information and citations from both these unfulfilled coi requests, and move them all, along with other programming listed in the "Acquisition by Ronald N. Stern" section, to the Programming section of this article... well that would be outstanding. I could then remove the two coi edit tags from my requests. Thanks for your remarks Bearcat. -- Oshentree (talk) 19:54, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Done I don't know if this is an improvement but it certainly seems unobjectionable from a COI perspective and has been languishing for months. Rusalkii (talk) 05:11, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Rusalkii. This is great, I really appreciate your assistance in updating the programming sections. --17:35, 28 August 2024 (UTC) Oshentree (talk) 17:35, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Netherlands-based television channel
 • Reason for the change: 1. Change to "Netherlands-based television channel" matches self-description on its Wikipedia page. 2. As per this article, OUTtv (Canadian TV channel) self-manages internationally.

 • Specific text to be edited: Second sentence of second paragraph of International distribution section
In the years since the Dutch channel was launched, the channel had launched in several additional countries including Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Luxembourg, and Austria, while also launching in Israel through a similarly branded channel called PRIDEtv in 2019.[52]
+
The Dutch channel subsequently launched in several additional countries.[52] The association between the two networks ended with the sale of OUTtv (Canadian TV channel) to OM Acquisition in 2016, and each channel now operates independently.
 • Reason for the change: OutTV (European TV channel) is a private limited company in the Netherlands and is not associated with the OUTtv (Canadian TV channel) controlled by Ronald N. Stern. The OutTV (European TV channel) PRIDEtv launched in 2019. The acquisition of OUTtv (Canadian TV channel) by Ronald N. Stern was in 2016.
