1. Well-written:
1a. the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct. Criterion met
1b. it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation. Criterion met
2. Verifiable with no original research:
2a. it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline. Criterion met
2b. reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose). Criterion met
2c. it contains no original research. Criterion met
3. Broad in its coverage:
3a. it addresses the main aspects of the topic. Criterion met
3b. it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style). Criterion met
4. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each. Criterion met
5. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute. Article history indicates no edit wars
6. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
6a. media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content. Criterion met
6b. media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions. Criterion met
7. Overall assessment. Pass
  • Number 13 is not italicized consistently. I assume it should be italicized per MOS:ITALIC. Currently there are two non-italicized instances of the name in the prose and one in the image caption.
  • In The Number 13 class was designed by Captain Yuzuru Hiraga, the naval architect responsible for most of the recent Japanese capital ships. "recent" seems odd - as if it were in reference to the 2000s. I may have misunderstood that, but "contemporary" might be a better choice.
  • There are several places in the prose describing the class as if the ships were built, for instance The Number 13 class was also fitted with... I think it would be far more accurate to say "The Number 13 class was also designed with..." and so on.

Overall a very nice article, with very few things to mend.--Tomobe03 (talk) 16:53, 13 May 2013 (UTC) OK, I fixed all of these. Thanks for the review.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 17:21, 13 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
