Lion names
[edit]I think the current text is misleading regarding the names of the two lions. The northern one (nearest King St) is popularly known as Leo and the southern one Oscar, but their original names were Agamemnon = north, and Menelaus = south. The current text implies these were the opposite way around. See What are the lions in Old Market Square actually called?TonyP (talk) 12:17, 18 January 2020 (UTC)
Observed the suggested correction. Implemented same. Likely that a vocal description of the square and council house, from within the entrance hall of the building, gave the incorrect indication of the name designations. Fropilog (talk) 21:24, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks. I usually think Left=Leo, in order to remember, but admit that I didn't know of the original names until I searched for an answer.TonyP (talk) 10:41, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
