Ambigous - probably outdated - statement

“The system is expected to enter service around the end of the decade.”

Really? - Does this statement really refer to the end of the (current) decade, that just started a few months ago? Or is it rather meant to refer to the (last) decade that has just ended and thus not only inaccurate, but completely outdated? -- 83.65.195.12 (talk) 05:12, 21 March 2010 (UTC)

Title of page needs update

Now that the Navy has selected the Northrop Grumman design and assigned name MQ-4C Triton, title of page should be changed from BAMS to MQ-4C Triton? I think it's time. Just didn't want to do it myself without checking on the Talk page first.

I've moved the page to Northrop Grumman MQ-4C Triton, per WP:AIR's naming conventions for aircraft with M/D/N format. There is not enough info in the article at this time for a separate article on the BAMS project itself, but I've no objection to recreating the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance page in the future should it prove necessary to do so. - BilCat (talk) 19:28, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

This action establishes the first of two MQ-4C Triton Unmanned Aerial Surveillance (UAS) squadrons to support combatant commanders requirements for operational and exercise broad area maritime surveillance services.

Triton To Be UK Nimrod Replacement

To which article do you refer? I was purely laying out the British position on training and procurement. Source see here here and here in an aside RAF training is still on-going having started in may 2014 with the Broad Area Maritime Surveillance—Demonstrator teams (BAMS-D). "Lead too long" tag

I trimmed some details and re-worded the lead a bit in an effort to address the "lead too long" tag. The current version, to me, looks concise enough that the tag could be removed - but I wanted to see if there were other opinions before removing the tag.
