[edit]- "The Northover Projector - also known as the Projector, 2.5 inch" - I assume "Projector, 2.5 inch" was the "official" name? In which case it should be "The Projector, 2.5 inch, commonly known as the Northover Projector"
- If the official name is "Northover Projector" it should be at Northover Projector, not Northover projector
- "ad hoc" - again, replace with link to ad hoc or "makeshift".
- "after the defeat in the Battle of France" - "after the defeat in the Battle of France,"
- "The Northover Projector was designed by a Home Guard officer named Robert Harry Northover" - "The Northover Projector was designed by a Home Guard officer named Robert Harry Northover to act as a ..." makeshift weapon, stopgap weapon, whatever - link it to the previous sentence is the key.
- "Although it was cheap and easy to manufacture, it did have several problems. It was difficult to move and the No. 76 Special Incendiary Grenades it used as one type of ammunition had a tendency to break inside the breech and damage the weapon and injure the crew." - "Although it was cheap and easy to manufacture, it did have several problems; it was difficult to move and the No. 76 Special Incendiary Grenades it used as one type of ammunition had a tendency to break inside the breech, damaging the weapon and injuring the crew."

Design
[edit]- The Northover Projector - also known as the "Projector, 2.5 inch", - again, which was official?
- "rounds were fired from the Projector by a small quantity of black powder" - are small quantities of black powder regularly inducted into the Home Guard? :P. "rounds were fired from the Projector with a small quantity of black powder"
- "Ammunition for the weapon consisted of the No. 76 Special Incendiary Grenade,[5] which consisted of a glass bottle" - "Ammunition for the weapon consisted of the No. 76 Special Incendiary Grenade,[5] a glass bottle"
- 'containing a phosphorous mixture which burst into livid flames, giving off quantities of suffocating smoke upon exposure to the air' needs to be in proper quotemarks.
- It was difficult to move and the tripod had the tendency to damage itself if it was dropped, and its discharge pressure has been described as 'feeble.' - It was difficult to move, the tripod had the tendency to damage itself if it was dropped and its discharge pressure has been described as "feeble".
- Citation for "feeble" please.

[edit]- 'War Office propaganda' - proper quotes, cite.
- Ditto with the other quoted bits.
- Done! Ironholds (talk) 03:28, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Righto. Done everything but the move to Northover Projector. You'll notice that I've placed a request on the talkpage for the move; I can't do it directly, even though it would be uncontroversial, as 'Northover Projector' is currently a redirect and I know you can't just copy and paste the article due GFDL problems...or something. Hopefully that won't put the kybosh on the review. Cheers, Skinny87 (talk) 16:54, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- Nope, that's fine. I'll pass it now and ping an admin to move it. Thanks, Ironholds (talk) 00:05, 15 September 2009 (UTC)
