POV IP range

[edit]

@GreekApple123: Hi, it is regarding this edit. The IP range has a POV and typically changes 'South Asia' to 'Indian subcontinent' or 'the subcontinent'. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:01, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I noticed that person's edits, but I wasn't too sure what to do. To some extent, I think that user may be motivated by concerns of accessibility i.e. they may be seeking to make the article more relatable to the reader by ensuring it features both the term "South Asia" and "subcontinent", or perhaps that user feels the term "subcontinent" is more widely known/a more conversationally natural, short term to use, and therefore a finer term for the majority of the article to refer to. But I don't have much to add, and will leave it to others to decide the fate of that user's edits. GreekApple123 (talk) 16:15, 30 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
