UFO
[edit]Anything related to UFO's of course is paranoid nonsense. Don't look into any information regarding UFO's. UFO's are for crazy people. There is no evidence for UFO's. Because there is no evidence of UFO's it must be made up Rubbish ! Seriously, never look into anything related to UFO's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.237.108.206 (talk) 14:13, 27 July 2014 (UTC)
What does this mean?
[edit]In the section titled Cause, this sentence appears:
"The system operators were not aware of a potential ambiguity between the extremely heavy power flows into Ontario and the setting upon which the relay was properly designed to operate."
Very few readers are expert on the subject of the operation of electrical power relays. For this reason, almost no readers will understand what this "ambiguity" is about.
I hope someone knowledgeable on this subject will explain this more clearly.2600:1700:E1C0:F340:58AB:EDCF:8192:7808 (talk) 17:09, 14 July 2019 (UTC)
Programmed? Also no link to mentioned investigative report used as source.
[edit]I'm not sure if programed and sensed are the correct words to use as they are not mentioned anywhere in the official hearing for the failure and the mentioned "Report of The Northeast Power co-ordinating Council (NPCC)" is not linked. https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CHRG-89hhrg66577p1/pdf/CHRG-89hhrg66577p1.pdf Honestly I'm unsure and decided to bring it up. 2600:1700:8010:5A30:5948:C817:B9DD:1D6 (talk) 00:52, 8 December 2023 (UTC)
Bewitched episode of 1966
[edit]In the Bewitched episode, "The Short Happy Circuit of Aunt Clara," which aired on November 10, 1966 (just one day after the first anniversary of the actual blackout), Clara (Marion Lorne) flubs a magic spell and causes a blackout very similar to the actual 1965 blackout.
