Mary Taylor
[edit]Is there any chance someone can sort out the link to the character info for Mary Taylor. At the moment it links to the generic "List of recurring and minor Coronation Street characters" page rather than the individual's section in the 2008 minor character page. I'm not really capable of doing this myself.
Time traveller
[edit]"Norris first appeared in 1994 from 1997, before resuming the role in 1999. He continues in the series to the present day."
- He appeared in 1994 from 1997? So he travelled back three years?
Fair use rationale for Image:Doriscole.jpg
[edit]Image:Doriscole.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Norris on Twitter
[edit][1] Think this might be worth mentioning as it's official and not just a fan twitter like all the EastEnders ones! AnemoneProjectors 12:24, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: pages moved. Andrewa (talk) 21:16, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
– I think there is a good case for the basketball player to be the primary topic, because the National Basketball Association is an international brand and popular outside the U.S. and English speaking countries. Cole played on two NBA championship teams and is now playing professionally in Israel. Coronation Street, on the other hand, is rather obscure in the United States while popular in the UK and other British Commonwealth countries.
Furthermore, a google search for "Norris Cole" has the top 10 results about the basketball player. "Norris Cole" + Basketball has 300k+ results, compare to 30k+ for "Norris Cole" + "Coronation Street". Arbor to SJ (talk) 17:25, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- page views are about even and a whole load of link correction is going to need doing. Is the nom volunteering to do it? In ictu oculi (talk) 19:47, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- To answer your question: An enthusiastic yes! Regarding page views though - it could be impacted by people searching for the basketball player having to click through the Coronation Street character article. Arbor to SJ (talk) 20:53, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- Then support first, neutral on second. To be honest when views are 50/50 a TWODAB situation is preferable, but if moving support (Coronation Street) over the unrecognizable (character) dab, which sorry, pace below WP:NCDAB does not indicate or require. - This seems reasonable, however the proper disambiguation should be Norris Cole (character) per WP:NCDAB, which establishes that the parenthetical should be the generic term rather than a proper noun, etc. An exception would be, of course, if there are other characters with the same name.— TAnthonyTalk 21:53, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- I see that there are multiple articles and redirects in Category:Coronation Street characters which use the "incorrect" disambiguation (using the show name). At some point a discussion should take place about that.— TAnthonyTalk 21:58, 11 December 2017 (UTC)
- Support. Pageviews support the basketball player (over the longer term, the basketball player gets more than twice as many pageviews, probably correlating with the basketball season), and in terms of historical importance, some weight has to be given to a real person over a fictional character. I think "(Coronation Street)" is fine as a disambiguator, as it is common among the characters in this work, and deeming it otherwise would require a larger discussion than this. bd2412 T 02:24, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
- Support a real, more in-the-news person over a fictional one. Red Slash 13:43, 13 December 2017 (UTC)
