Theme song
[edit]I removed the reference to some people thinking that Norm was the person to whom the theme song "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" refers, because I don't see how that could be verified. --Metropolitan90 05:52, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
George Wendt's autobiography
[edit]Can't anybody read his latest book that discusses bar, beer, and stuff? Anybody should know that Norm was not part of the original script if you read the book. --George Ho (talk) 19:19, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Moving image of George Wendt
[edit]@User:Russel Harrison: I don't know why you moved the image to the right, but the infobox already pushes the image down to the Role section or somewhere. Can you undo the change? It helps the flow. --George Ho (talk) 07:26, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- @George Ho, my bad, I was reading it on VE and it looked like it disrupted text above it. I see it has already been restored–again my bad. Russel Harrison (talk) 03:10, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- No worries, Russel. Um... I don't use VE at all. I do wikicoding instead. Is there a "Preview" button while using VE? --George Ho (talk) 03:20, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- You know, there actually is a preview button– I just skipped it thinking I was right. Wikicoding seems like the more prudent way, George Ho. Russel Harrison (talk) 03:23, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, Russel. Go to "Preferences" in your account and checkmark "Temporarily disable the visual editor while it is in beta". You can change any of your preferences there. --George Ho (talk) 03:26, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks mate. Russel Harrison (talk) 03:27, 30 December 2016 (UTC)

Image caption
[edit]I thought "Norm dipping a vegetable piece with a beer" was essential. I don't know why it changed to "Norm with a beer", but that makes a vegetable piece less important. Nonetheless, if a "vegetable piece" is not an essential aspect, perhaps I shall find a replacement image, but it's not easy. I like to illustrate Norm's frequent seating position. --George Ho (talk) 09:06, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
Hey, BenStein69. I wonder whether "alcohol abusers" describes this character well. Norm has drunk a lot, but rarely or never suffers from symptoms. --George Ho (talk) 18:24, 1 July 2017 (UTC)
You're probably right. I have only watched 10 Cheers episodes to date. I reverted my edit. BenStein69 (talk) 15:49, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
"regular"
[edit]What do people here think about adding "regular" into an opening sentence just to describe one of the main characters? Is it necessary or not? I've not yet seen an article describing a character as a "regular" in the first sentence. George Ho (talk) 06:08, 20 September 2019 (UTC)
