While the architect probably meets the inclusion guidelines, being the recipient of a state decoration, the article is somewhat promotional in nature, and some of the references don't actually mention him, so I don't really see how they are relevant. And the article needs to have a specific topic; if it's about the architect, it doesn't need to cover one building designed by him in detail (and the building - Menara Axis - doesn't seem to be particularly notable by itself; a Google search for the building's name returned little more than business listings). - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:39, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nik Mohamed Mahmood is important because he was one of those to bring modernism to Malaysia. His firm had some prominent projects, and also represents the period when architecture firms were becoming more Malay, in terms of their owners, employees, and the decorative motifs of their projects. The Menara Axis is a major postmodern building. The article isn't promotional in nature, it's written by an architectural historian.
