a designated terrorist group

[edit]

its attacks are designated terroristic attacks. I'm against the category in general but if it exists, it classifies as one. Amoruso (talk) 16:06, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I share your dislike for that kind of categories. However, I think articles about incidents should be categorized according to their nature, not the nature of the group that's responsible for them. I'll leave it for now. -- Nudve (talk) 16:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Although I would tend to agree, sources have been pointed to me where it doesn't matter who the target is - policemen or soldiers, or civilians - it can all be classified as terrorism. For example British policemen assassination attempts and so on during the british mandate... Amoruso (talk) 16:18, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe you're right. Frankly, I'm not sure how so many terrorism categories can coexist with WP:TERRORIST. -- Nudve (talk) 16:22, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Terrorist_incidents: "This category lists attacks by non-state-aligned groups that did or intended to create civilian casualties, in significant numbers, as opposed to hate crimes, serial killers, and other criminal activity." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.112.101.253 (talk) 18:38, 19 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
