Lead section puffery
[edit]The lead section should dispassionately and neutrally describe her. No featured articles use this sort of promotional prose "an award-winning, prolific". Better to say something like "Nicola Shindlerr is a British television producer and executive, and founder of the independent television drama production company Red Production Company. She has won eleven BAFTA TV Awards." Please see Wikipedia:Lead dos and don'ts particularly "peacock terms".Theroadislong (talk) 07:39, 17 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hi @Theroadislong:! I actually like a lot of what you wrote here as far as the lede goes as I think the writing is pretty choppy as it stands; however, I would argue that characterizing Shindler as being award-winning and prolific is actually factual -- and is supported by the information and citations on this page. I have seen prolific used in other entries, as well as award-winning. If she wasn't both things I would not have included them. If you want to go ahead and change this, I object, but the facts that she is award-winning and prolific are pretty clear from the entry, so if it's not explicitly stated in the lede, all anyone needs to do is look at her entry and it's there. I think you know my editing enough by this point that I would not have put those descriptors without having it come from the entry itself, so.... :-) -- Erika aka BrillLyle (talk) 13:15, 18 January 2018 (UTC)
