JDOT

[edit]

Seems like somebody inserted this JDOT as a hoax. Can't find any info on him. Removed the article -- Esemono (talk) 05:51, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion?

[edit]

I think these lines might as well be deleted-

  • It often thought that the 1973 Jim Croce song "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" was inspired by Barnes but it was in fact inspired by one of Jim Croce's friends from the Army[13]
  • It is also often thought that the "Mr. Big" character in the Bond movie Live and Let Die was inspired by Barnes

The source for the first one only talk about Jim Croce's friend and there is no mention of Barnes to connect this. And neither the first or second have a source for these "general" thoughts. Without those these seem needless. I figure I'll give about 24 hours and if no one responds I'll assume no ones cares and go ahead with my change.MephYazata (talk) 02:36, 13 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Change article title to Nicky Barnes?

[edit]

I'm thinking the article should be renamed to Nicky Barnes per WP:COMMONNAME. Leroy might have been his given name, but he was commonly known as Nicky. Looking for comment before I move the page. – JBarta (talk) 22:49, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Having heard no objection, I'll move the page. – JBarta (talk) 19:40, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I guess I won't be moving the page, though a request is now below. – JBarta (talk) 19:52, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move 02 October 2013
