This article needs editing by a neutral expert

This article, while a good start, contains very little meat and a great deal of oil. We don't learn very much about the Great Man other than that he was respected and that he succeeded in having Ho Chi Minh pardoned by the French. What did he do before WWII? Where was he born? Was his family landlord or peasant? Was he ever arrested by the French? What was his schooling? As it stands, this article will not satisfy hunger.
